Pinellas Patriots Christmas Hayride

Posted on December 21st, 2009

Remember the old days, not all that long ago, when you rounded up family,

Twinkling lights capture the special magic of Christmas and celebrate the true spirit of the season.
In today’s busy world, God’s great gift of joy sometimes seems far away. Help us return to the wonder and joy of Christmas as we ring in the season with our First Annual Christmas Light Hayride!

Let’s bring together our own family, our new found Patriot family and enjoy some old fashioned Christmas traditions! We’ll fill the evening with good food, good company, Christmas music, holiday magic and LIGHTS!

We’ll meet for dinner at the Acropol Family Restaurant at 5:45 – 6:00. We can relax, enjoy non-political conversation with “family” and a good meal. At 7:30 we pile into our Pinellas Patriots hay filled trucks, pass out jingle bells, turn up the Christmas music, and find the BEST Christmas lights in town!

Bring blankets, it may be cool out..yahoo! Hot chocolate will be provided! If you can find time, why not bring a dozen Christmas cookies and we’ll all share! Adults are welcome to ride in the back of the trucks, we are planning on having 7. Of course, if you would rather, you can join the hayride procession in your own vehicle.

Children will have to ride inside the vehicles until we get to the neighborhood light displays, then they can then join the adults in the back of the trucks with parents. The route through the neighborhood will take about 45 minutes and the speed is about 3-5 MPH. Then the children will have to return to the inside of the vehicles for the drive to the second display and so on.

We will finish up by driving back to the restaurant parking lot.

We are NOT going to allow what’s happening in DC, or the politically correct, strip from us the true spirit of this Christmas Season! MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!

Click on the link below to view the restaurant location. From that page you can get driving directions by filling in your address below the map.

PS: Santa will be joining us at 7:00 inside the restaurant! Ho Ho Ho

friends, neighborhood kids, gave them all hot chocolate, passed out bells that jingle, filled up the back of a hay filled pickup truck, and hit the streets looking for the BEST Christmas Lights EVER??

PRESS RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

October 10, 2009

“Health Care Funeral Procession” Held by “PinellasPatriots.org” This Saturday

The Pinellas Patriots will host their Health Care Funeral Procession this Saturday, October 10th at 11:00 a.m. at Quaker Steak & Lube on 10400 49th St. N. in Pinellas Park. All freedom loving patriots are invited to decorate their cars with flags and patriotic slogans to promote comradery and raise awareness about the loss of freedom in America’s Health Care System. CD’s with patriotic music are distributed before the procession, and after an hour on the “Healthcare Funeral Procession Route” participants will return to the start for wings, optional adult beverages, more good food, and fun.

We believe that patients should be able to choose their own Health Care without the government being able to restrict the treatment they receive based on age or other government formulas. We believe that America has the best Health Care System in the world evidenced by the number of wealthy foreigners who travel here for treatment.

“As A Mom” Meets In Pinellas

Posted on October 7th, 2009

Tampa Bay 912 Chapters in St. Pete will be glad to know that our fellow patriot Kelly is organizing this meetup.

Location to be determined by RSVP’s – announced asap!

For updated information:  http://www.meetup.com/Pinellas-Patriots/calendar/11552414/

Last Friday Glenn Beck had a group of moms talking about their concerns for the nation. From that spawned an online community called asamom.org. This is a network of principled mothers, grandmothers, daughters, and guardians of our nations children dedicated to the 9 principles and 12 values. Since it’s inception last Wednesday, this online community has over 34,000 members. I am hosting a meetup for St. Petersburg patriots that would like to take action as a “MOM”. This will be our first meeting to discuss our 5 top action items that we feel need to happen to save our country for our children. Please check out the website and join this community. We are coordinating ALL moms in the area to join voices with other across this great land!

National Call Congress Day

Posted on October 6th, 2009

Patients First – A project of Americans for Prosperity is sponsoring a National Call Congress Day on October 6th. Please go to the following website:

House phone campaign:

http://www.rallycongr…

Senate phone campaign:

http://www.rallycongr…

Type in your zip code and it will give you the contact numbers for your reps. Make your calls.
If you call before or after work, you can leave a message. They will get it.
TALKING POINTS

1) I don’t want a government bureaucrat making health care decisions for me and my family. Contrary to what President Obama says, several independent studies show that a public “plan” or “option” will take 114 million people off private insurance and put them on the government plan. I don’t want that to be me!

2) The federal deficit for 2009 is over $1.5 trillion, a historic high. The Congressional Budget Office says that this health care reform plan will add $239 billion to our deficit. Now is not the time for new, increased entitlement spending, now is the time to trim government and make it more efficient.

3) When Medicare was created in 1966, it was projected that it would cost $12 billion in 1990–the actual cost of Medicare in 1990 was $107 billion. There is no doubt this plan will end up costing American taxpayers like me much more than the current estimates.

4) Raising my taxes will be the only way to foot the bill for Washington’s out of control spending. This is no time for tax hikes. In the current economy, we should be cutting spending and taxes, not funding massive new programs by raising income taxes.

5) The mandates that this reform plan places on businesses will increase unemployment and lower wages, according to the CBO. Many small businesses are already struggling to make ends meet. With unemployment climbing, in August it was over 9%, government should not be making it even harder for businesses to succeed and hire new employees.

6) Please oppose this bill or any health care bill that takes health decisions out of the hands of patients and doctors and give them to politicians and bureaucrats. Please oppose increased federal spending. And, please do not raise my taxes. Thank you for taking the time to listen to me today.
