Remember the old days, not all that long ago, when you rounded up family,
Twinkling lights capture the special magic of Christmas and celebrate the true spirit of the season.
In today’s busy world, God’s great gift of joy sometimes seems far away. Help us return to the wonder and joy of Christmas as we ring in the season with our First Annual Christmas Light Hayride!
Let’s bring together our own family, our new found Patriot family and enjoy some old fashioned Christmas traditions! We’ll fill the evening with good food, good company, Christmas music, holiday magic and LIGHTS!
We’ll meet for dinner at the Acropol Family Restaurant at 5:45 – 6:00. We can relax, enjoy non-political conversation with “family” and a good meal. At 7:30 we pile into our Pinellas Patriots hay filled trucks, pass out jingle bells, turn up the Christmas music, and find the BEST Christmas lights in town!
Bring blankets, it may be cool out..yahoo! Hot chocolate will be provided! If you can find time, why not bring a dozen Christmas cookies and we’ll all share! Adults are welcome to ride in the back of the trucks, we are planning on having 7. Of course, if you would rather, you can join the hayride procession in your own vehicle.
Children will have to ride inside the vehicles until we get to the neighborhood light displays, then they can then join the adults in the back of the trucks with parents. The route through the neighborhood will take about 45 minutes and the speed is about 3-5 MPH. Then the children will have to return to the inside of the vehicles for the drive to the second display and so on.
We will finish up by driving back to the restaurant parking lot.
We are NOT going to allow what’s happening in DC, or the politically correct, strip from us the true spirit of this Christmas Season! MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!
